The KOA and CANYON SPRINGS.......

Arriving in Boise we went straight to the KOA in Meridian. We had previously been told that we would be able to park there at a monthly rate, but upon arriving the lady said shes not sure why were told that because there was a LOOOOOONG waiting list of full-timers looking to park there as soon as a spot opened up. So, we had only a couple days before Luke started working to spend finding our new home. Bummer since this KOA was really nice! There was an indoor pool, a game room that the kids got to work on a floor puzzle together, a playground...it was really a fun place! Not to mention free internet and a laundry room so I would have been able to do laundry while Luke was at work so he wouldn't have to waste his precious days off!

One of Jireh's favorite hobbies is puzzles!
Daddy hanging out with our sleeping Charis while I can get some laundry done!

 Havilah....as cute as can be.

 Yay! The puzzle is finished!
Daddy went to the playground with the kids while I got the trailer cleaned up and packed up as this was the last day at the KOA and we had to head out.

On top of finding where to park our home, my front right tooth became infected and was absolutely KILLING me!!! I was worthless to Luke. I couldn't think straight let alone find a place to call home. I am absolutely against popping pills and big pharma and pretty much any meds at all but I started taking Ibuprofen because of how much pain I was in! I was also taking a few natural things but man, nothing was working. The entire right side of my face started swelling and the one dentist we went to said it would take 2 weeks to get me in to be seen (they only had time for x-rays)!!!! Yeah, right! Thankfully, Luke called around for me and found an office with an opening the next day! Everything is kinda blurry to me...not sure if we found our new home first or after. lol THATS how out of it I was! Finally, I got in and the infection was drained and my face immediately felt a ton better and wasn't quite as swollen!
You can SEE my lip is stiff and not moving....I felt like I had botox injections! lol This was AFTER they drained the infection and I was feeling a ton better!

We did a TON of driving around our first day in town...looking for mobile home communities that allow trailer parking or campgrounds that allow full-timers. Everywhere seemed to be full and with a long waiting list! We weren't worried though. We knew something wold work out. I asked Luke how far he was willing to drive to work. He said a half hr. I had one more place to look into before I was out of options or needed to do a more advanced google search or something! The last place was full....but she told us of a newly opened place just up the road....so we went to check it out. And thats how we found Canyon Springs RV Resort! A 27min drive for Luke to work! Brand Spankin' New!
Our site...the largest one available. #22
The girls helping Daddy set up.

Our stabilizer jacks help out SO MUCH! Without them Its easy to get that queazy "sea sick" feeling every time the kids run around inside.

Ephraim was trying to tell me something and I kept snapping pictures....he was getting annoyed so I had to put the camera down so he could concentrate on remembering what he had to say, "Mom, I like this new Caldwell place! It's AWESOME!."
This is our yard for the next year give or take. It will be interesting not having grass but rather gravel instead.

We had to pretty much buy all new plumbing because the set up we had back in Idaho Falls just didn't work here. At least it all looks really nice! Good job Luke making a "poop pipe" look great!

This is one of their cabins they offer at nightly/weekly/monthly rates....we call it the guest house because its literally right there in our "backyard"....only one spot between us. When we have family come stay with us there is a place for them to stay. My mom, sister and brother are visiting in the late spring and will most likely be staying in this. I haven't seen the inside yet, but I hear its really cute! :)

In the main office building there is a living room and kitchen and laundry room all at our fingertips!

I've already loaded up our wagon with dirty laundry and hauled it down there and the kids got to watch some TV while I got laundry in. Havilah and Jireh are a big help with Charis if she needed anything while I was in the laundry room!

The view from my kitchen window....it faces East so I get to see the sun rise (if I'm up early enough!)
The view out the back window (Luke and my bedroom). Nothing fancy but theres no neighbors either. Also, you can't see it from the picture but there are mountains on the horizon behind those trees.

A New Adventure

After a year and a half of selling cars, I have come to realize just how brutal the car business is...especially in a smaller city. My General Sales Manager at Broadway Ford was fired and then the next day so was I! I had seen the hand writing on the wall, so I had already been looking for work but to no avail. I really would rather not ever have to look for work so I tend to look for jobs I would enjoy long term. Car sales was never even my intent....I originally applied for an RV sales position and my application was transferred over to the car dealership which started this crazy year+ for us. It got me very interested in learning more about sales and the process and the psychology behind it and I have honestly enjoyed the challenge as well as the differences each day has to offer. But, it was time for a change....to get out of the car industry....and I still wanted a shot at selling travel trailers! So, after weeks of looking for yet another job, I was asked to come in for an interview "all the way" out in Boise (a 4hr drive) at Dennis Dillon RV and Marine.
A trend I began to notice is that many businesses here in Idaho Falls do not have qualified management, are 10 to 15 years behind in technology and have little to no ambition for success! Crazy! I can not continue working in a town that has no desire to grow in every aspect and that can not think outside of a box! Bethany and I had already been playing with the idea of moving to another town/city in Idaho, it was just a matter of where and when. So, when given the job opportunity we decided to go ahead and head out to the Boise area and do some exploring. We got into Boise just in time for my interview and by the time it was over it was a given that we were moving.
So begins the next part of our adventure!
We are chipping the Kurios out of the ice and will be heading to Boise!

Here is our trailer...our home.....Kurios is her name. She was completely frozen to the ground and it took a little (a lot) of work chisseling her out!
We do not have 4 wheel drive on our van, so for the best traction we (the maintenance guy and Luke)
layed these grates down to drive over so as to not get stuck in the snow and ice.
It was actually very helpful also, having the maintenance guy snow blow the front yard!
We had so much stuff under and behind the trailer, we are very thankful for our enclosed trailer that we bought this past year. We stuffed it full and took it over to some great friends until we are able to come back to Idaho Falls to pick it up.

Luke had quite the task of unfreezing, un-skirting, and unhooking all the plumbing.

While Luke worked on the outside I was busy on the inside. Packing up a trailer with 4 littles on the inside is crazeeeeee!!!! hahaha But all in all, it got done!

After about 3 full days of getting things ready to be mobile we were off! Our little saying, "West is best!" The kids are so great traveling....with the exception of poor little Charis Faith who still has a lot to learn from her siblings. lol

Headed right towards the mountains....and towards almost 30° warmer weather!
