A little catch up on what has been happening. Luke has gone back to work (currently he is working 4 10 hour days in Oberlin working at Green Circle Growers putting in a massive generator and on Fridays he does various jobs all over at time and a half so thats a blessing in disguise!) since we've been back in Ohio. It's hard work, but it is what is keeping us here in Ohio for the next few months. Luke loves learning new things and becoming proficient in as many trades/skills as he can get his hands on! He has enjoyed being an electrician this past year and having the chance to learn something new and useful.
As for where we are currently staying, we have been having a hard time finding any local Ohio campgrounds that are open right now. Findley state park has a stay limit of 14 consecutive days then 16 days away before you can come back, but after asking about it they told us if we leave for 1 night after 13 days we are back to a clean slate! We have already spent one night in a Wal-Mart parking lot and a weekend down in West Salem at another open (but nowhere near as nice) campground. By the end of this week (beginning of May) all the campgrounds will be open and we will have our pick...but I think we will stick with Findley unless we can find a cheaper option with full hook-ups. At Findley, that is the one bad thing....we have to hook up and move the trailer in order to dump our waste/water tanks. There are no "full hook-ups" here. We also have to fill up our 5 gallon buckets with water and bring it back to the trailer every time we need water! Its a hassle but we are learning more and more to call it an adventure....and we are actually loving it regardless of the unpracticality and inconvenience!

Luke is hoping to fix our cold weather issues soon (now that cold weather will be over for a while). He found a cheap alternative to the super expensive silicone heating pads sold by the RV stores. He bought automotive battery heaters! They should do the job nicely! No more poopsicles! We just thank God that we didn't have a massive mess (i.e. busted tanks) after leaving the Arctic Circle...errr I mean Minnesota! There are a few other minor things that Luke has to work on. He plans on taking the bottom cover off the trailer some day to see how the tanks are all set up and while hes at it he will "slap" the heaters on them too! We still have to get our water pump set up so that we can utilize our fresh water holding tank. That will give us running water while parked in a "no hook up" park! We will just have to fill the holding tank up at the same time we go to dump....easy enough. We also have a few shelves we have to make to utilize as much vertical space as possible! It's going to be crowded...no way around that, so we might as well have what we want in the trailer for as many extra "luxuries" as possible....right? We think so!
