A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That

A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That

Today we woke up to the kids giggling in their beds. They were playing together so nicely. Luke and I were able to wake up very slowly. It was nice waking up to that! I rolled over and saw my sweet Havilah just staring with wide eyes and huge smiles, as if she was waiting for me to wake up. Such a happy girl. We ate a quick breakfast and headed out to get a little bit of our errands done. First on the list was to check out the airport! It was only down the road from us. It was small but still a decent sized airport. It was actually bigger then Luke was expecting it to be.

Next up, 2 houses that we wanted to drive past to see if they were worth going and seeing with an agent. We really liked the first one and not so much the area of the second. We have been keeping our eyes open for more real estate out here and so far it seems as though it will be easier to obtain a house then our past experience in Ohio.

On our way back from the second house we were on the same road that we came into Idaho Falls on just a short couple days ago. Just 2 miles outside of town we lost our extension towing mirror on the passenger side. It flew right off and went straight into a ditch on the side of the road. We weren't able to stop or pull over or turn around easily towing Kurios (our 30' trailer) so we thought that we would just come back since we were so close to the campground. We had forgotten that day with all the excitement of finally being in Idaho, so today when we were on the same road we decided to see if we could find it. I had quickly pinned our location on Luke's phone's GPS map so we were hoping that the 1/2 mile strip where it could possibly be wouldn't be too hard to spot from the road. We were right. We spotted it right away! It had landed mirror side up and was completely intact and unbroken and reflecting the sun so we could easily see it! It was a $36 mirror, so we were praying and hoping that it wasn't lost forever or broken. Thank You Jesus!

(Later on we realized that one of the straps WAS missing but, we would still be able to rig something up to make it work!)

We then drove to a few Staffing Agencies that were in the area but, we will have to visit a few more on another day. We drove around getting a feel for the businesses and the areas/neighborhoods as well as a feel for the drivers! In Iowa (every time we've been through any area- and remember we used to only live 30mins from the border AND have had to drive through the entire state to go see either of our families in Ohio and Missouri!) has the MOST AWFUL drivers EVER! Ohio also has a lot of bad drivers but nothing compares to Iowa in our experience! So far Idahoans seem to know how to drive (from our short experience here!). We just keep feeling more and more impressed by this seemingly forgotten/misunderstood state.

It was getting to be lunch so we headed back to the trailer for some food and the two littlest were going to need their naps. We were hoping to set up our monitor so we could go to the playground with Ephraim while the girls slept but, it started drizzling. We ended up spending the afternoon in the trailer with the kids. Luke converted the tabletop into a bed...or a fort if you are a kid! It kept the kids occupied while Luke and I could organize a few things around in the trailer. After being in it for a few days we've kinda gotten a feel for where the best places are for certain things and we are kind of setting up a system for our new life living in a trailer.

When we do get back to Ohio we will not be going back to living with family but will be staying in the trailer. We, as of right now, are not completely sure where, but we know it will work out for us. We are just trusting that God provides. Luke still has a great job in Ohio so until a job becomes a reality in Idaho there won't be a move. We are praying that God does open up doors to a great job opportunity while we are here so that when we do go back we will just pack up our storage unit and head out West for good. Only time will tell.
