We went ice skating on Tuesday evening. A Christ Community Church small group was having their monthly family night this week and had ice skating as the group event. Every Tuesday is Open Skate at the local rink so we decided to join in on the fun. Ephraim has gone ice skating a few times the past year with his Aunt Lydia and Aunt Anna and loves it! Luke and I however haven't been on skates in years. Jireh was not too impressed...she did warm up to it eventually but her initial response was one of complete fear. The rink had awesome gliding skating aides to help the kids learn to skate...they kinda looked like plastic walkers...you know, the kind that old people use. LOL! It was so much fun! Sadly, we weren't able to connect with anyone from the group. We actually weren't even sure who was associated with the small group. We will have to wait for next Sunday and Tuesday to get a chance to talk to anyone on a more personal level.
(Waiting for Daddy to finish lacing up his skates...and helping Jireh get used to balancing on her ice skates)
(Jireh watching Daddy and Brother on the ice...getting used to the idea)
(Daddy and Ephraim skating and then getting distracted and almost falling!)

(Me and the girls waiting for our turn on the ice...WAY PAST JIREH'S BEDTIME!)

(Now its Daddy and Jireh's turn to skate!)
(Now Its Ephraim's turn to wait and watch)
